I added some automobile museums to this list which seems to only cover trains. Should there be separate lists? Rmhermen 17:31, Apr 28, 2004 (UTC)

I don't think there should be separate lists, but if this list gets uncomfortably long, we could of course reconcider it. SAB 11:54, 2 May 2004 (UTC)
This page [1] has a rather long list of just rail museums just in the U.S. It could provide many links (and probably require a new page layout. Rmhermen 16:56, 3 Jun 2004 (UTC)

I added the Wyoming Transportation Museum then I made page for the museum B4Ctom1 00:34, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

I have put this up for deletion as i am not sure whether or not it is notable enough to appear on wikipedia. Robin99 22:32, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

This article should be deleted, it is insanely inaccurate. From Toronto and surrounding area alone it is missing: Bata shoe museum, Toronto boat museum, Elgin County Railway Museum, Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, and that's just what I found on one website. I know there is at least one and I think two canoe museum between Scarbourogh and Belleville that I drive past.
And what about aeronautical musems, that is certianly a form of transportation: Stuart Robert Aeronautical Museum, Robert Stuart Aeronautical Museum, Toronto Aerospace Museum, etc
Also I think in this case the use of the categories is far more appropriate. It would be pretty easy to add a country subcategory, as is the case of most categories. Writers are usually categorized by their genre, nationality, etc, etc. This seems like a much better use of resources to add some new categories to the already existing pages then try to constantly update this list.
