[edit] Limited geographic scope

I tagged this article as having limited geographic scope because it seems too centered on Europe and the U.S. whereas I am sure there are many notable synagogues across the Middle East that deserve mention.

As a side note, the title List of synagogues does not imply a list of notable synagogues but a list of all of them, possibly divided by country, by denomination, by century etc. That's what other lists like this are usually like, and I'm not sure we're wualified to judge which synagogues are "notable" enough to be on the list and which aren't.

Unless the list is meant to serve as a resource that also includes synagogues that don't have articles, in which case it can be very useful. LeaHazel : talk : contribs 12:15, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

  • I agree with your comments and have changed the list to reflect your ideas. This is how most lists are on Wikipedia and this list should not be different. -NYC2TLV 22:57, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
