[edit] Merge

Due to the redundancies between the two articles, I move that the Team Superman entry be integrated into the slightly more inclusive Supporting characters of Superman entry. Furthermore, I suggest shortening the entry title to Superman supporting characters, much like Batman supporting characters. --Chris Griswold 07:45, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

Merge --Chris Griswold 11:34, 12 July 2006 (UTC)- Merge --Jamdav86 12:47, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Discussion closed after almost a month. Decision is merge.--Chris Griswold 17:42, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

There was discussion within the Team Superman article about a possible merge with the Superman Family article, but I didn't see anything in there about this merge (it is possible that I overlooked it, sorry if that's the case). Last time I checked on that one, the vote was not to merge. The merge to this article makes more sense, but since the Team Superman article was the one that was moved, a discussion should have been within that article as well to give those contributors a chance to be heard. Just a suggestion for future merges.--CPitt76 19:22, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

You ought to address that to the talk pages of the merge templates because they always link to the talk page of the "mergeto" article. Additionally, check the WikiProject Comics Notice Board for news of merges. --Chris Griswold 22:20, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. I didn't realize there was a notice board. --CPitt76 01:13, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
No problem. I only created it (exactly) one month ago. If you have any suggestions on how to increase awareness, please let me know. You seem to be an editor who would like to be involved in this sort of stuff, and that's great. Perhaps the {{comicsproj}} template needs to be re-arranged. --Chris Griswold 01:54, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
The board was really a good idea. Sounds like you're on top of it, but I'll let you know if I think of anything that I think can help.--CPitt76 00:11, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Discussion

It seems like Team Superman is an actual team (or it was at one point) and thus it would be appropriate to have an article seperate from "supporting characters" (wasn't it a limited series title or one-shot as well?) j-beda 15:59, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

I think it may have been a one-shot, but I'm don't believe it was an actual team, and I don't think that that alone warrants an entry of its own. --Chris Griswold 21:31, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
It's like Batman Family. A one shot that used an unofficial term as it's title. I might be wrong, but i've never heard Superman say "I'd better get the rest of Team Superman to help" or the like. Exvicious 04:38, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
I bet they all have matching t-shirts. --Chris Griswold 05:16, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:TeamSuperman.jpg

Image:TeamSuperman.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
