[edit] Should include assault rifles ?

I question the value of including firearms that are not submachine guns in a list of submachine guns. If the wikipedia doesn't already have a list of assault rifles it should have one. This link could contain a single link to that list. -- Geo Swan 18:33, 2005 Mar 19 (UTC)

There is already a list of assault rifles on wikipedia. Also, I've removed the "MP 5, 9 mm, German ww2 submachine gun" as as far as I know, and through searching of many other sources, there was no MP 5 subamchine gun in WWII. Also, I've removed any referencs to the M7 caseless submachine gun from Halo, as this list is only concerned with real weapons, not videogame weaponry. --Vectorman2 14:19, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

• After careful searching, I can find no evidence of AP-9 being a submachine gun; rather, the few sources I do find suggest it is a semi-automatic pistol with a large-capacity magazine. Also, I cannot find any reference to an SM-90 SMG anywhere except here, or pages directly quoting Wikipedia. Suggest removal of both weapons from this list. Vectorman2 23:00, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
