This article is a bit of a fool's endeavor.. the number of ships comissioned in any given year is immeasurable, especially so during years of war. We have to consider not only the United States Nave, but Britain, Germany, and Russia (not to mention non-military ships). I came across it randomly, and had some time to kill, so I worked on it some.. but I'll not be completing it. Good luck to any who read this. p6 19:18, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

I consider that the idea of Wiki is that most of its subjects can't be expected to be completed by one individual, but if we all put in what we can, maybe we'll get somewhere. Josh 21:52, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
