Talk:List of science fiction topics

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Logically, the main part of the new article Genres, subcategories, and topics related to science fiction ought to be merged into this. The problem is that that would then leave three distinct top-level SF List pages: Genres; Themes; and Topics (this). But back at the main Science fiction article, the Main Page link at See Also points--as it should--to that article title, Genres, subcategories, and topics related to science fiction, and it seems silly to put an article there that just points to those three other pages and has little or no other content.

Anyway, whoever wants can figure this all out and play with it to their heart's content. All I set out to do, and did, was provide someplace for that Science fiction article Main Page link to point to. Owlcroft 10:47, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

A merger could make sense, but I'm not sure your proposed top-level categories would work (maybe I just don't understand what would go in them). SF is more than just themes & genres, for instance; it's also history, sf studies, fandom, etc. (Maybe that's all "topics"?) --lquilter 03:14, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

This article doesn't add much over the category tree. I suggest getting rid of it. --Thetrick (talk) 05:13, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
