[edit] Ordinals
I know the order on this is copied directly from the source, where teams are listed alphabetically, and if they are tied, the team coming next in the alphabet is given a lower rank. (eg, 2-Tennessee, 3-Texas even though both have the same number of games). Should we change this so those having the same number of wins will be listed with the same rank? - I think the consecutive numbers are necessary for the sortable data system to work properly. Incidentally, teams with the same number of appearances are now put in order of winning percentage. Kgwo1972 18:32, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] "Average Score"
This column is a pain to calculate and will be a pain to update (and isn't really that meaningful anyway). I'm not going to add more scores after 47 - Oklahoma State and I suggest removing the column all together. If someone else wants to calculate the scores, though, go ahead. - I agree this column should be removed. It is WAY too much to ask editors to update an average score each year.Kgwo1972 16:34, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] list not complete
The list on the external site only goes up to 100 schools. My look through the year-by-year results indicates the following should be added. Feel free to re-order this list, and strike through the ones you have added to the article. Mishatx 07:03, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Out of date: cut-off point?
I think the list should have a cut-off point, in order to ensure editors can keep it up-to-date. Right now the list is simply INACCURATE after #63, because it lists 2005 numbers. (I have worked down to that level, but I don't have time to finish, so I have tagged this list as being out-of-date.) Because an inaccurate list is worse than no list at all, I think it should be teams with 10 or more bowl wins only. That is 72 teams, which is fairly inclusive. Thoughts? Kgwo1972 16:55, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- UPDATE: Article is now probably correct through the top 73 teams, through Iowa State University. Kgwo1972 20:22, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
UPDATE: I cut off the list at 73 after making several more corrections for the top teams. Anyone who wants to expand the list to all schools who appeared in bowl games needs to first appreciate (and volunteer for) the commitment required to keep this page up to date. The OUT OF DATE TAG should remain until the "average score" column is updated or removed. Kgwo1972 16:30, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] redundant page
This page has not been edited to reflect all the results of 2007/2008 bowl games. It should be deleted, since the Bowl_records page has the same data and is being updated. Z1perlster (talk) 01:16, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
