Talk:List of rivers by length/Comments

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Nile River is not necessarily considered the longest river in the world. Through satellite imaging and measurements from various geographers, they have concluded that the origin of the Amazon River is directly situated at a peak called Nevado Mismi, in the snow covered Andes of Peru. The length of the river is now recalculated at approximately 6,800 kilometers, which places it at the number 1 spot of being the worlds longest and largest river.
