[edit] Romanization

The romanization of the station names is mostly machine generated, and not Hepburn-compliant. Most station articles which existed in November are linked correctly, but there has not yet been an effort to correct the other names. This is due partly to the unresolved status of macrons in article titles. Neier 11:16, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Total Number of Stations

It would be great if there was a total number of stations listed somewhere either on this page or the railways in japan page.

There are 8992 stations on the list currently (from copy paste into excel). I dont know if its a great idea to add the number to the page as it would need constant updating if new stations are made... --Dex1337 03:24, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disambiguation

I have been creating disambiguation pages for station names that need it, even when its double red linked. This will stop people making station pages in the wrong place. Have been creating redirects where appropriate and fixing links --Dex1337 02:35, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

That's great work! One reason I started these lists was to try and give people a reference to use for the names when creating new articles. Be sure to watchlist the double-red DAB pages, as they might be AFD'd or PROD'd by someone less familiar with the situation. Neier 04:16, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
