AfD closure comment: Default action is to merge this to List of Portable Software. --Deathphoenix ʕ 04:05, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
- Comment from Editor: How would that make matters better. All it would be is overload and already incredibly overloaded article. At last count it was over 40kb, and with this addition it could easily top 50kb. By splitting the article up into seperate categories on the other hand it makes it both easier to users to find what they're looking for and provides less strain for the eyes of people who would just like to use the general article. So how exactly would it be better to merge this category back into List of Portable Software?--WalksWithGrizzlies 11:19, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
I vote for this list to be deleted. I know it got a 'no consensus' before, but heres why I say it: After I installed fresh copies of XP and Vista, at least 95% of my 50+ popular, commercial PC games ran without a hitch. Very few games are not 'portable.' If anything, a list of games which require installation registry keys should be made, if this concept is to be useful.
[edit] "Compatible with"
Pretty much every entry in this list has a second "Compatible with:" line under it; is this really necessary? It seems to pad out the article quite a lot and seems relatively pointless; if it's needed, surely there's a better way of doing this? Nuwewsco 23:25, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Housekeeping, more coming.
I removed all non-notable material, and got rid of the games with no articles of their own, along with all the "compatible" data. That is better suited for the actual articles themselves. I'll keep at it to get this list in shape.
[edit] Define: Portable Game
As to deletion or merge with parent article, I disagree strongly for already discussed reasons. However, the definition of 'portable' does not appear to include what I deem vital for a portable game. Storage media degrades with each write, software that performs many writes degrades the media faster, therefore a game which writes back to the media on an almost constant basis, is highly undesirable for portable use. Small save files and configuration data not-withstanding. M J Ludgate 15:47, 19 September 2007(GMT)
[edit] Adventure Games??
These only show strategy and sidescrolling arcade like games. Seems this classification is wrong... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.73.183.125 (talk) 22:59, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
