Talk:List of political parties in the Philippines
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Discussion
- The general rule on naming applies. That means: the parties are named in the English translation and the original native name is placed on the first line of the article unless the native form is more commonly used in English than the English form. Rationale and specifics: See: Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English).
I reverted the deletion of parties without existing wikipages, since this is a list of parties irrespective if there is allready a wikipage. Electionworld 10:38, 9 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Party table
Currently, I'm working on a political parties table to replace the current bulleted list. If possible, subsequent editors, please do the following:
- If applicable, please fill in any "N/A" spaces with the appropriate information
- For parties whose chairperson entry is the party founder, please replace with the current chairman
Please note also that if the party's Tagalog name is more common than the English name, the Tagalog name is used, regardless if the page uses the English name. However, Tagalog party names are pipe-linked to their English translations unless the article uses the Tagalog name.
If possible, please edit as needed.

[edit] Poor Quality
This article is both poorly written and NPOV. Requires a complete rewrite with someone who has a better command of the English language and a more balanced view. Lamjus 23:37, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Then again, someone inserted the text about the current state of Philippine political parties there. Probably anonymous. I can remove it. --Sky Harbor 06:08, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
