This page contained a lot of temporary coalitions: Mountain union was a coalition during the 2005 elections between the Progressive Socialist Party and the Lebanese forces; Dignity was the name of Rafik Hariri's list during the 2000 elections. This page is only about political parties, temporary coalitons during election - a common thing in lebanon - should be mentionned in articles about lebanese elections (eg: 2005 Lebanese general elections), but not here.
Regarding the organisation of the parties, I didn't want to divide by religion (Chritian parties, muslim parties...), because most of the parties are secular, but not officially. I'm open for suggestions.500LL 19:24, Jun 14, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Question

Could someone expert (or connaisseur) in the Lebanese political life verify the status of these parties listed. And I heard about these political organizations: اللقاء الديمقراطي Democratic gathering, Bristol gathering لقاء البريستول . Could someone give informations about these organizations?

[edit] defunct?

is the Communist Action Organization in Lebanon really defunct? is there a source for that? --Soman (talk) 10:18, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

I read it in "A history of modern lebanon" by Fawwaz traboulsi who was once a leader in the CAOL... I have also heard an LCP officer say that... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mickey117 (talkcontribs) 10:58, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
