Talk:List of political parties in Hong Kong
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I removed:
- Political parties in Hong Kong lists political parties in Hong Kong.
The sentence is useless and doesnt expand on the title of the page.
- Ways to browse Wikipedia for political parties are by name of the party, country, ideology or by membership of internationals and through the category system: especially by country and ideology.
See Wikipedia:Avoid self-references. Try adding a "see also" list at the end of the article.
- ==Introduction==
The lead section is the "introduction.
- A political party is a political organization subscribing to a certain ideology or formed around very special issues with the aim to participate in power, usually by participating in elections.
- See political party for a more comprehensive discussion.
A definition of "political party" here is not necessary and not relevant. The link to political party is enough. --Jiang 00:25, 8 Jan 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Reaction
I added links at the see also section. Furthermore, I do not agree that a definition in an article on parties in HK is not necessary or relevant. So I reverted that. I agree that we shouldn't use Introduction for the lead section. I hope in this way we can agree/compromise. Gangulf 14:23, 8 Jan 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Transliteration
Could somebody transliterate the Chinese names of the Hong Kong parties. Electionworld 09:39, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Unequal Wikipedia treatment
It is a pity that so much has been done to spruce up the DP and Frontier (and other pro-dem) party pages on Wikipedia with sections, history, etc., yet so little has been done for the DAB and the Liberal Party. Is this blatant unequal treatment? jsw663 10:22, 1 February, 2006 (EST)
