I am not sure why this category exists? What exactly are places: surely settlements in this context is a more geographical term? Places can be houses, manors, castles etc etc ... In any case there are already categories for Towns in East Sussex and Villages in East Sussex. Add to that the fact there are NO cities in the county at all, and this just becomes a duplicate piece which obviously isn't being used much. Peter Shearan 11:40, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

maybe all of the places in the lists can be pooled together for settlements in East Sussex Swedishdave 13:12, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
