[edit] EMG-300

The EMG-300, though very small, is actually a one-seat helicopter so it doesn't technically fit the criteria of this list. Should this list be expanded to include such "micro" aircraft or should they have a list of their own? Rsduhamel 21:13, 7 January 2006 (UTC)

-I think it should have it's own list. My opinion. I suggest you gather more opinions before making a choice. Dunno. ("rather than sat upon or in.", I don't really know the exact meaning of rather, but I think it excludes the sat upon)201.56.56.248 22:20, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

  • I agree, so I've removed it from the list. Basil Richards 18:56, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Vertical take-off

With the exception of the Aerothrust Velocity all of the aircraft on this list are jet/rocket packs or helecopter-like craft. Should this list include fixed-wing aircraft, i.e. hang gliders and paragliders? Rsduhamel 21:17, 7 January 2006 (UTC)

-As far as I know (really, not much) gliders could be added here based on the definitions. But I think it would change the original objective of this list. ("An aircraft is any machine capable of atmospheric flight."; "Mechanical flight is the use of a machine, called an aircraft, to fly. These machines are called aeroplanes, helicopters, autogyros, airships, balloons, and spacecraft. Gliders provide unpowered flight." (but still 'flight') All retrieved from Wikipedia itself) 201.56.56.248 22:20, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Powered hang gliders and powered paragliders are the lightest and most succesful personal aircrafts available today and I believe they belong in this article. But they certainly are not VTOL. BatteryIncluded 18:26, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
