Talk:List of people from the Dominican Republic

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

[edit] Susie Castillo

Although Susie Castillo's father was Dominican, he is also a absentee father. Susie was raised by her Puerto Rican mother and considers herself more connected to her Puerto Rican ancestry due to his absentee parenting. She has said this in interviews with the press --XLR8TION 01:24, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

I agree with that on the grounds that if she was born in the US, she cannot be considered Dominican. Corrected. --- philosopher2king 4/13/08 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Philosopher2king (talkcontribs) 23:40, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Ashanti

Ashanti is not Dominican. Let's be real. Her mother may be 3/4 dominican (whatever that means) but I doubt she considers herself Dominican. Let's try to keep this list only to people actually born Dominican and perhaps place an asterisk on quasi-Dominicans.
