Anyone remember the guy who was their tour guide on their trip to Africa? In the end he became President and the former president became an airline steward?

Yes - his name was Kitenge, according to Google, and the President's name was Muntu.

I have to dispute Akira as being a one-time character - I recall that he taught karate in an early episode, and that Homer, Bart and Lisa also went to him to ask him to translate the Japanese writing on the Mr Sparkle box.

62.64.202.114 21:48, 7 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Yes, Akira appears in several episodes, I think he was also in "Brother, Could You Spare Two Dimes" as a sofa salesman (!). His name wasn't mentioned but it sure looked like Akira. Nvinen 09:28, 27 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Here are some more but I've forgot what their names were: the girl that is smarter than Lisa and ends up in a girl-school, Homer's mother, Burns son, the Michael Jackson imitator... Almost every episode with a guest feature has one of them. BL 02:17, Mar 11, 2004 (UTC)

Homer's mother (Mona) was actully on twice anyway. Adam Bishop 22:08, 2 Apr 2004 (UTC)

What about the guy who sells them the RV in the first season? I don't think he had a name, but I love that guy. -R. fiend 06:16, 3 May 2004 (UTC)

He also appeared in two episodes. -Mixed Ham 20:25. 8 July 2007

[edit] Who belongs on this list?

I think we should set some definition for who belongs on this list. I noticed Bort is listed despite the fact he had no dialogue and was only referred to in a few second stint. On the other hand, Frank Grimes was a focal point of a single episode. If we allow the list to include anyone, the list would be huge and ommissive. I propose including characters who were the focus of, and were present in only one episode.--Will2k 18:42, Aug 19, 2004 (UTC)

Just so I know, when was Joey Jo-Jo seen?- B-101 22:56, 13 Oct 2004 (UTC)

"The Last Temptation of Homer" - when Homer meets Mindy (Michelle Pfeiffer). Joey Jo-Jo was in Mo's while Homer was drinking there at one point. Nvinen 09:28, 27 Feb 2005 (UTC)

HEAPS of the characters on this list have made more appearcnes. We saw Julio recently, as well as RV Bob

Frank Grimes still shouldn't be on the 1 time characters list as many times Frank Grimes's grave has been shown on other episodes.

That's his GRAVE, the character hasn't been seen since. What about characters seen more than once? We've seen Mary Bailey in at least 2 more episodes(The Seven-Beer Snitch and Bart vs. Lisa vs. The Third Grade). We also saw Aristotle Amodopoulos again in the episode where Homer win's Artie Ziff's company(there is a joke where Homer and Artie walk into Moe's and every Simpsons character Jon Lovitz has voiced is sitting at the bar). TJ Spyke 01:33, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
Carl, not Carl Carlson, but the guy who becomes Homer's mentor of sorts. --GoHawks4 18:49, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Needs a move

This page needs to be moved to "List of Xs" as seen in Wikipedia:Naming conventions#Lists. There should be a clearer name, like...

  • List of characters with one appearance on The Simpsons
  • List of one-time characters from The Simpsons
  • List of one-time characters on The Simpsons
  • Henry
  • List of non-recurring characters within the confines of the TV show The Simpsons

Fitch 09:42, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Two more to add?

Was the tutor Milhouse had during the teacher's strike named? Also, how about that magazine stand vendor that tells Marge that the newest issue of Sponge Digest has come in? His name was something like Benovan Stanchianno...it was in the episode where she becomes a cop

[edit] Sections for characters

I'm going to give one-timers who have their own articles sections on this page. Anyone who objects might as well revert the changes. 82.39.49.236 11:39, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion?

Why would anyone list this page for deletion? It looks like someone went a little deletion happy in the whole Simpsos category... remove the request for deletion, the user gave no reason here, and there is no reason it should be deleted... - Adolphus79 22:57, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

I agree, Adolphus. I don't think all the Simpsons articles are encyclopedia-worthy, but when we have articles like List of redheads, List of famous tall women, and List of fictional robots, it seems ridiculous to target an article that's really quite central to the Simpsons portal.--Anchoress 03:12, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
When i look through some valuable Simpsons articles, I look at the talk pages and see 'this was nominated for deletion' and i think "What the hell? What idiot nominated this for deletion?"--veon 21:57, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
It makes no sense why anyone would delete this page. Some people might want to know this stuff. This is actually a good article, in my opinion, and is better than some articles that are not on the list of deletion. This is almost one year later than the comments posted above and it is still on the deletion list. Someone needs to take that off. B3@©# ¶ЭΩ6U|И 20:33, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikiproject: Simpsons

OK... Anyone interested in helping cleanup the Simpsons information, join the WikiProject... if we can all work together, instead of different editors working on different pages, we can get all the Simpsons information on all of Wikipedia organized... - Adolphus79 04:43, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rename

Support change to 'List of one-time characters from The Simpsons'... per naming conventions of Wikipedia... - Adolphus79 21:17, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

anyone gonna oppose? or can we just do this already... - Adolphus79 01:59, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Frank Grimes

I posted a comment on the character template's discussion page about this, but in short...I sort of think that maybe Frank's page should be split up...and his profile be put on this page while the trivia be put into the wiki for the one episode he hails from.

What do you think? Should he really have a page of his own? I mean...he appears less than Cecil, and he's on this page. --Kiyosuki 12:44, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

sounds good to me... - Adolphus79 03:37, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

The article on him is fairly long. Do you think it would be too long to be put the whole article on this page. If it is done all the information should be transferred. We shouldn't leave out information. All systems go 19:57, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

please see below... the consensus we have reached at the WikiProject is that a one-time character does not deserve their own article... his whole article will be added to this page, then maybe cleaned up and shortened slightly... - Adolphus79 20:08, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
I'm not part of the WikiProject but I like him having his own page. Even though he only appeared once, there were a lot of funny references that would be lost if he were merged into a bigger page. I say leave it alone. Papercrab 03:35, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Somewhere in reverting some malicous blanking I lost the Frank Grimes section. Not sure how to get this back with out removing the parts I've restored. Any Ideas?AngielaJ 17:50, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

There was no Frank Grimes section -- he has his own page. The prior editor appears to have been adding a Frank Grimes section, but also removed the Frank Grimes, Jr. section. Your reversion is fine. -FeralDruid 18:01, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
Oh ok cool Cheers :) AngielaJ 18:36, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Frank Grimes merge

Support - He is only a one-time character... he does not need his own article... I say merge him to this list, and move him (and his son) to the top with the others that have big entries... - Adolphus79 07:02, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

I agree, but I think before we move him we should really organize the One-Time character list. I have an idea...but I'll have to tell you later. I'm pressed for time right this moment.--Kiyosuki 02:20, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
I've done a preliminary cleanup of the one-time list... at this point it's down to confirming that the characters on there were never in a second episode, or that they aren't on any other lists (like animals or celebs)... - Adolphus79 13:42, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Frank Grimes should be merged with this article. Anonymous_anonymous_Have a Nice Day 11:46, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

After just reading the article again, it would be pretty easy to merge... it looks like someone went and fluffed up the information a good bit, it could easily be cleaned up, shortened, and added to the top of this list... I'll get to it in the next couple days... - Adolphus79 12:56, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

Oppose. He's not really a one-time character in the same way the rest of the people on this list are, though. His son is featured in an episode, his tombstone has been shown in at least 1-2 episodes... That doesn't even compare to Mary Bailer and Cecil. --zenohockey 21:46, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

Oppose: He was a huge character in the episode in which he appeared and has been mentioned several times since. His son has even made an appearance. It just makes sense to keep his page seperate. ~Scorpion0422

Strong Oppose: Although a one-time character, he is one of the most significant one-timers in one of the most significant The Simpsons episodes (and perhaps American television as well). Frank Grimes is a complex character and apparently the direct antithesis of Homer. Several sociological books on the series have an entire chapter dedicated to discussion of "Homer's Enemy" and more specifically, Frank Grimes. Briguy52748 13:33, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

Strong Oppose: Frank Grimes to me is a major character in the history of Simpsons. There are lots of characters who come and go...and have no impact whatsoever, while Grimes is obviously one of the easily recognized characters, considering his death and all...he is to me one of the top 5 greatest simpsons characters, the other 4 being Smithers, Burns, Flanders, and Skinner. In any case, I of course strongly oppose that he is merged. I find him far too important. - Zarbon Oppose even though he only were in 1 episode. His name is mentioned lots of times, and even his son was even in an episode

Oppose: Frank Grimes appeared in only one episode, true, but his son make an appearance that was heavily influenced by the events that transpired in Grimes' episode, which perhaps makes him more notable than other characters on the list of one-time characters. Also, Grimes has been referred to several times since his death, such as when Homer kicks his tombstone at his grandmother's funeral. --Brandon Dilbeck 18:55, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Support 100% - This article is simply not about a notable character. A single appearance, regardless of the minor references and tombstone shots, is not good enough. Merge. -Localzuk(talk) 17:51, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Oppose - Keep the Frank Grimes page. Yes, he is a one time character but as someone above my comment says, he is mentioned a lot and he is character that is remembered by many, so I think his page should stay...but have a little mention on the one time characters of him and a link to Frank Grimes. Fr4zer 21:43, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Support - Frank Grimes is a one time character and so he should be in the list of one time characters. It doesn't matter if he was a major character, because a one time character belongs in the list of one time characters. What's there to argue about? He belongs in that list. Chris6730 22:02, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Oppose - Per Fr4zer. As a one-time appearance, he should appear here, but there's too much content there to merge in. Stannered 22:35, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Frank Grimes needs to be on this page. since he appeared in Homer Enemy as a title character, he needs to be here. besides frank grimes page redirects to the episode and theres no biography about him in there, thats why he needs to be on this page. its better. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.56.184.83 (talk) 00:58, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mindy Simmons merge

  • Support one time characters do not need their own page... - Adolphus79 06:22, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
  • Support I agree. She was only on the show once. —Preceding unsigned comment added by All systems go (talkcontribs)
  • Support. On once, never seen again. --zenohockey 21:47, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
    • Closed, vote was Support, merged... - Adolphus79 22:11, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Note to anyone intending on splitting off a section

This page has been processed by N-Bot, which, for browsing convenience, changes links to redirects to lists to links to the relevant list sections: e.g. Mary Bailey is changed to Mary Bailey.

As a result, anyone who intends to split a section out of this page should be aware that, as of 16 June 2006, the following sections were linked to from the following pages:

~~ N-Bot (t/c) 14:41, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A second note to anyone intending on splitting off a section

The concensus at WikiProject The Simpsons that a one time character does not need their own article... please feel free to expand that character's entry on this list, but please do not create new articles for one time characters... have fun, and happy editing... - Adolphus79 22:03, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mary Bailey and Capital City Goofball

Both these characters reappeared in a later episode (where Bart and Lisa are both put in the same class then go on a field trip to Capital City). These entries should be updated, maybe even moved to the recurring characters list. King aardvark 21:07, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

I agree that Mary Bailey should be moved to the recurring characters section, and have facilitated this action this afternoon Waterloo86 04:55, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion

This article is up for deletion again: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of one-time characters from The Simpsons (third nomination) Turnstep 13:55, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Removed

I removed this phrase:

"[Sideshow Cecil] is a fictional character on the animated television show The Simpsons. He [is the brother...]"

because it is extremely redundant, as at the top is shown:

"The American animated television comedy series The Simpsons."

This is posted to make sure I am right with this removal. --80.242.32.51 19:24, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] some mistakes

some of the listed charakters aren't one-time characters. i.e. dave shutton, database, jacques, aristotle amadopolis etc. -- Comic Book Guy

I moved Database. By One-time, they mean central in one episode. Yes, Jacques appeared later but his only main role was in one episode. -- Scorpion0422 17:43, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I have a problem with this list

To some extent it seems fancrufty and pointless. Why are there TWO "primary" entrys? There have to be tons of characters who have been given their own episodes. Alex Whitney had somewhat as much to do in her episode as Cecil did, as did Allison Taylor, the first two people on the "other" list. There are dozens of examples. I see no reason to separate Roofi and Cecil. I also see little reason for this list. If, by definition, they appear only once, the synopsis of their episode should contain virtually all the information about the character that would need to be listed on this page. As for the "Minor characters" (aka, for the most part, throwaway jokes incarnate), if they weren't major enough to mention in the episode synopsis (most of which are quite detailed - more than needed usually), I don't see how it can justify needing a mention on wikipedia at all. who is every going to search wikipedia for "Pepito"? Likely only a Simpsons fan, which seems to imply to me that it's fancruft. This seems like a list for the sake of making a list, and/or a list for the sake of mentioning a bunch of characters who simply don't merit mention on wikipedia, so they have been consolodated into a list for the sake of getting them onto wikpedia. TheHYPO 01:08, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

I agree. How this article failed to get deleted is beyond me. Edrigu 20:13, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
I did a bit of cleanup. I gave some of the more noteable characters more in depth bios and I moved some. Eventually, I hope to get small bios for most of the major characters. I agree that we should delete some of the minors though. -- Scorpion0422 17:45, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

This hasn't been addressed in a while, but some of these could probably just reference the episode in which the character appears. For example, Frank Grimes and Shary Bobbins. The corresponding episode articles contain sufficient detail of the character to justify removing them from the list of one-time characters article. -FeralDruid 22:26, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Lurleen Lumpkin

Lurleen Lumpkin appears (at least) twice. Once in Col. Homer and then later on in another episode at a film premire were Kent Brockman interviews her arrival on the red carpet. She says "I spent last night in a ditch" and walks on. Lugnuts 07:03, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

- - - She also appeared in the "pin pals" episode in a non-speaking role as one of the members of the "home wreckers" bowling team, alongside Mindy Simmons, Princess Kashmir and Jacques...

[edit] Baron Von Kissalot

I think he deserves a mention and a photo (he stands out from other characters). AS Artimour 00:26, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Well, there's nothing stopping you from putting him in then. Just put him under minor characters. Go ahead and use a photo (if you can find one), although I really don't see how he stands out. -- Scorpion0422 00:51, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] New Frank Grimes Merge

  • Strong Oppose: Frank Grimes had a huge impact on The Simpsons despite only appearing in one episode and is easily more important to the show than many other characters that have made a hundred appearances. I would say that his one appearance in the show has been more important than the appearances by Willy, Agnes Skinner, Dr. Nick, the Sea Captain, Frink, Gil, Dr. Hibbert, Kirk & Lu Ann Van Houten, Mayor Quimby, Cletus, Utur, Martin Prince, Lewis, Dolph, Jimbo, Kearney, Wendell, Sherri & Terri, Squeaky Voiced Teen, Rainier Wolfcastle, Helen Lovjoy and others. And yet, people don't question that they deserve their own pages. I think that importance of a character to a show is more important that the number of times they appear. You really can't compare him to the rest of the one shotters here. -- Scorpion0422 06:04, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Update: I revamped the article to talk about the origins of the character and his overall impact on the show so that him having his own page is more justified. -- Scorpion0422 06:23, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
  • Oppose: There is too much information in that article for it to be in a list.--Andy mci 09:15, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, why not merge the two articles together?

  • Strong oppose: As a fan, he is important and deserves a page. As a contributer to Simpson articles, he needs his own page. As a wikipedian... there is to much information for him to be on this page, plus he's to important. He is an immensely important character, and as Scorpion said, he is more important than a majority of other characters. I don't really need to say any more. Gran2 16:00, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Order of the list?

I guess this list just built up over time, and people always added new characters on the end?

For a list the size it is, I think imposing an order would make it more 'accessable'. Thoughts are either alphabetical or chronological by the episode they first appeared in, but I guess chron would be unmanageable so would have to be alpha, if anyone thinks it's worthwhile trying to maintain it? --Mortice 19:45, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Are the minor characters appropriate for wiki?

In the spirit in which we removed all the neologisms from the approriate page, should not the minor characters on this page be treated the same way?

Whether you think such changes are good or bad, I would think minor neologisms and minor characters should get the same treatment (which, perhaps in both cases, should be getting their own page?)

Discuss... --Mortice 16:11, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

I've been monitoring this list pretty closely, and with the exception of Raheem (some guy keeps readding him so I just gave up), all of the characters with bios were pretty central to their episodes. As for the lists at the bottom, perhaps the list of minor characters could use some clean up. -- Scorpion0422 16:51, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Peter Frampton

once i added peter frampton to the list as the was on the "homerpalooza"[ episode. he has since been removed. is he on any other episode? Derek840378 07:06, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Peter Frampton is a guest star voicing himself. Self-voicing guest stars do not get put on the list. -- Scorpion 07:23, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Declan Desmond

I added Declan Desmond to this article because he and his documentary were the main focus of Springfield Up. Just saying, he is now there. Rhino131 16:14, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

I moved Desmond to his own article because he's made 3 appearances and been heavily featured in 2. -- Scorpion 16:21, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
  • Okay. Sorry, I did not know he was in other episodes, I have not been able to see them all. Rhino131 17:17, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Minor Characters--not "One-time Characters"

This is an encyclopedia. We must be as exact, but as general, as possible when editing these articles, specifically the headings. This article's heading of "one-time characters" is just WRONG. Some of these characters have appeared more than once in the sitcom, whether it was just for a second, whether or not they said a word, it doesn't matter--the bottom line is they've appeared MORE THAN ONCE. Where do we draw the line? If you want to create a seperate article for true one-time characters in The Simpsons (and when you think about it there are rarely any), do so. But to call this article one-time characters is misleading. In this article's current state, with a mix of one-timers and minors, I think they should all collectivley be considered minors and this articles's heading should read accordingly: "Minor characters from The Simpsons." And that's what I'm changing it to.Tj terrorible1 13:47, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

No your not, because there is also a recurring list and most of them are minor. As the lead stats, this is a list of characters who have been CENTRAL to one episode, although some have made a couple more appearances. -- Scorpion 13:51, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Siamese/Conjoined Twins

I decided to change it in the Hugo Simpson entry because that is what they use in the episode, even though Lisa says they like to be called "Conjoined Twins" these days. Joe Dick 23:14, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Others" and "Minor characters"

For some reason people endorse these type of pages, but does it really need those sections? They just look like dumping grounds for whatever trivial characters people can think of. While the "Primary characters" are deemed notable enough, there seems to be little point in the rest. Nemu 19:33, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Because many of the characters in those sections have redirects that lead here, so it makes sense to have something about the characters. -- Scorpion0422 20:02, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
What? The characters have redirects that lead here here because the characters are mentioned here, not the other way around. That justifies nothing as they can easily be redirected to the single episodes if needed. In a way, I can see why Sgt. Seymour Skinner may be seen as notable, but there seems to be no reason for "Guy Incognito" to even need a mention. Nemu 20:07, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Because, mentioning minor characters in episode pages would take up space and clutter up the pages that we are trying to clean up. -- Scorpion0422 20:09, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
We wouldn't be mentioning them because they're already in-text if they're important. Veronica is part of the main plot of There's Something About Marrying, so there is no real reason to single him out. Nemu 20:13, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
The thing about getting rid of them is that this is a list of One-time characters, not just notable one-timers. Either way, it doesn't matter to me so if you want to get rid of the section and fix the redirects, go ahead. I can guarantee that some user will just try to readd them soon enough. -- Scorpion0422 20:16, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
OK, I'll give it a trial run. I'll just have to chat separately with all non-anons that try to bring the content back. Nemu 20:25, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
From the way you worded it, I was expecting more than two redirects. Nemu 20:37, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Shary Bobbins cleanup

Flagged Shary Bobbins for cleanup (too tired to do it myself, right now). -FeralDruid 09:48, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Replaced the Shary Bobbins entry with a ref to Shary Bobbins. There's sufficient detail of the character there, and I see little point in replicating the info on this page. -FeralDruid 22:33, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Colin

Is: "Surprisingly, he expresses no desire to punish Homer for polluting the lake beyond all sustainment, despite being initially one of the only people who wished to save the lake in the first place."

really relevant since he was part of the angry mob who was after Homer? cyclosarin 02:02, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

No, Colin was trying to see Lisa. Remember the flowers and the wave in Lisa's direction before they were set on fire by a misguided Carl. --Simpsons fan 66 23:13, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Image:JoabthonFrinkSr.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Larry Burns

This article fails to mention Larry Burns, the long lost son of Mr. Burns. He was voiced by Rodney Dangerfield and only appears in the series once. WillGuth 02:44, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Number One = Sideshow Bob

Is it just me or does Number One look and sound remarkabley like Sideshow Bob? The only evidence that he is not sideshow Bob is his shoes, which are normal size, unlike Bobs, although this could be continuity. --Simpsons fan 66 11:01, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

And of course the fact that Number One was voiced by Patrick Stewart and Sideshow Bob is voiced by Kelsey Grammer. They sound similar because Stewart is English and Grammer puts on an English accent for Bob. Gran2 15:01, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Ah, I should have thought of that. My bad. --Simpsons fan 66 23:11, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

The current picture makes him look like an insane guy with lockjaw. I'll get a better picture once I can get the episode. --Simpsons fan 66 04:53, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Refernces are screwed up

The references on this page are really up the creek. What the hell is "Richmond P.176"? The others are not in proper format. These references are in drastic need of attention. --Simpsons fan 66 00:09, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

I would assume Richmond refers to The Simpsons: A Complete Guide to Our Favorite Family, because Ray Richmond was the editor of that book and it is pretty much the encyclopedia of the show's earlier seasons. --WillMak050389 02:04, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
Ok, thanks will. I've left a message on the Homer's enemy page so that someone who is familliar with the episode and has the commmnetary can add proper references. --Simpsons fan 66 05:00, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Handsome Pete

Do a Google search and see how popular the character is. That makes his inclusion justified. JAF1970 03:07, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

PS. Bert and Eliza appeared for less than a minute as well. You know why I included Handsome Pete? I was trying to find his episode and found him not in Wikipedia. Research rule: if you have to make the research for something, it should be in Wikipedia. He also appeared in two episodes. But you must be one of those people who think that you have to have the barest amount of information in an encyclopedia. JAF1970 03:09, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
I`m currently working on a new format for the page that will cut 90% of the unnecessary details, but also allow 90x more characters to be on the page. The inclusion criteria for that list will be:
More than a 1 minute appearance in 1 episode
If they appeared in two episodes, that appearance should have been for less than 1 minute. Characters who have had three speaking appearances will be moved to the recurring page.
Handsome Pete had no lines and the section will likely contain no more than a brief summary of his only appearance, so I cut him. And Lester & Eliza also lost their section. -- Scorpion0422 03:20, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Benard

What about the bouncer from Flaming Moes? Okay, he made a 1-3s appearance in Radio Bart, but would he classify as a one-time character? Seeing as he's never made any kind of other appearance. (At least I don't think so.) - .:. Jigsy .:. (talk) 00:33, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Does Doctor Colossus count as a recurring character or a one time character? (I seen him appear only once in Who Shot Mr. Burns) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.198.234.133 (talk) 08:43, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
