[edit] Presidential entries
I deleted the presidential entries - they already exist on the page List of U.S. Presidential nicknames - it's big enough to effectively prohibit duplication. SigPig 01:33, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
I agree wholeheartedly. Mrbluesky 22:14, 6 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Jeanne d'Arc
Isn't she known as La Pucelle, "the flea", in France? --Fulminouscherub 02:23, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
Yes and no. She is nicknamed "La Pucelle d'Orléans", but it means "The Orléans Virgin" in colloquial French. Mrbluesky 08:47, 02 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Merge?
Given List of military figures by nickname is under question for lack of notability, I suggest merging it here, with a redirect from List of military figures by nickname so somebody looking for specifically military nicknames will know where to look. Trekphiler 10:26, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] No Bull
I delteted this:
- "Bull" — William Halsey, Jr., U.S. admiral
Halsey never answered to it or recognized it; I suspect it was hung on him in error, by a newsie. Trekphiler 01:56, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
