[edit] Exclusions

In taking the names off the maps in the Guia Roji, I have excluded Reserves, Parques Estatal, and Parques Natural. Is that a mistake? Do they have the same legal status? Does it matter? - Eric 20:35, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Formally there is a distinction, and parques nacionales in Mexico are quite different from those other 3 you mention (which are created at the state level, AFAIK), and the NPs are in turn but one of the categories defined under areas naturales protegidas in the SINANP system.--cjllw ʘ TALK 09:57, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
