[edit] Hong Kong
The link should be like Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, or else it's as funny as United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, or United States of America. — Instantnood 16:35, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Inclusion criterion
Anyone considering adding a museum to this list should keep in mind the following from the Wikipedia:Lists (stand-alone lists) guideline:
"Ideally each entry on the list should have a Wikipedia article but this is not required if it is reasonable to expect an article could be forthcoming in the future."
To test the reasonableness of your expectations, (and prevent deletion from the list) you may want to create the article on the museum first and then add it to this list. UnitedStatesian 00:34, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- The last sentence above is based on guidance & not policy. Please refrain from eliminating red-linked museums from this list without further discussion here because it can be counter-productive. Thanks! FieldMarine (talk) 06:21, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Deleted Museums
Several "red-linked" museums were recently deleted from the Italy section. This deletion has been reverted until better explanation is provided as to why these specific museums were deleted. It is reasonable to expect that articles on these museums will be forthcoming & eliminating them from this list can be counter-productive. Thanks! FieldMarine (talk) 23:14, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- I re-removed International Museum of the fly fishing Stanislao Kuckiewicz, per WP:DGFA, because that article was deleted. UnitedStatesian (talk) 02:01, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Museums about Tibet vs. in Tibet
There are numerous museums about Tibet that are not in Tibet. Just one of many is covered by Tibet Museum article which is currently given to a stub for a museum of that name in South Korea. Should the list of museums by country, list for each country the museums in it, or could it also have a section for museums outside it? doncram (talk) 02:06, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- Good question...I recommend only listing museums in the country they are located in & not by subject. By country is how the museums are currently listed & it makes sense to follow that system. Just a recommendation though. FieldMarine (talk) 03:13, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
