[edit] New page

Created in the model of List of Systems Biology Research Groups and List of systems science organisations. This content was previously part of the microfluidics and lab on a chip pages.--Cubic Hour (talk) 20:04, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Depending on the response at WP:WPLIST there's still the risk of deletion. Moved the page per MOS:CAPS. WLU (talk) 20:08, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
You should never delete a valuable list like this, but move it to a WikiProject space. I also moved the former "List of Systems Biology Research Groups" to the Wikipedia:WikiProject Systems/List of Systems Biology Research Groups. -- Mdd (talk) 23:53, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Um, I guess it's OK to move it to a wikiproject space and out of mainspace, but it should be used as a resource for the wikiproject only, not linked in mainspace. Otherwise it's gaming the system and avoiding part of the purpose of the AFD - if lists of external links are valid. I'll unlink it to all the mainspace articles and select a different list as a test case. WLU (talk) 23:57, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Those links are important to get the help of the community. But we can also ask attenton for those lists on the talk pages. -- Mdd (talk) 00:07, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
I'm a bit confused about the Bio systems AFD, so I've asked User:Neil for a comment - I don't know him very well, but I believe he's active on AFD a lot. I've also unlinked mainspace references to the wikiproject page - it's a valid resource for the wikiproject, but it kinda avoids the whole point of an AFD if its still linked as a mainspace article. I'll be cross-posting this on related pages touched by the discussion to see what kind of input comes up. WLU (talk) 00:16, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
This is a bit ridiculous, I'll try to centralize discussion over at WP:WPLIST. Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Lists#List of Systems Biology Research Groups WLU (talk) 00:18, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
Ok. I would like that. -- Mdd (talk) 00:21, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

I’m more on board with the moving of the list rather than deletion. --DavidD4scnrt (talk) 05:32, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD Discussion

For the same reason that were isted in the AfD discussion for lots of similar pages, such as List of systems science organisations, I don't believe this page should be deleted. --Cubic Hour (talk) 15:25, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

I do believe this list in its current state will be deleted sooner or later. I allready tried to tell you, that I think this list could be reorganized in the way the List of systems biology research groups. Instead of responding to this suggestion you use an other of my lists as an bad excuse here.
I also think that those two lists are not alike. The difference is that:
Maybe you missed all discussion on the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Lists page. There is a lot of discussion the last year that those "linkfarm" lists are not accepted any more. Even though I don 't like that, I have accepted this new reality. -- Mdd (talk) 16:24, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Not a matter of not liking your format. Just haven't got around to changing it yet. Real life goes on.--Cubic Hour (talk) 07:23, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
Ok good luck. -- Mdd (talk) 11:52, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
