[edit] Other London markets

This source lists several not currently in the list (or are in under different names)

  • Camberwell Ratcliff's Yard, 346 Camberwell New Road, SE5, Open Mon-Sat 8am-6pm, Sun 10am-3pm. About 12 stallholders plus some extras in an old stable selling secondhand clothes, Caribbean food and the like.
  • Elephant and Castle Outside shopping center, SE1, Open Mon-Sat 7am-7pm. About 30 stalls here selling everything from clothes to electrical goods, sportswear and CDs.
  • Peckham There are three main parts to this market. Choumert Road, between Rye Lane and Choumert Grove, SE15 which has about 30 stalls and is geared towards Caribbean food, especially fish. Agora (indoor market) about 50 traders cramped inside a modern interior selling Afro hair accessories, clothes, Rye Lane (indoor market, 48 Rye Lane) This building was bombed during the war but still has an old-fashioned market feel, with about 85 businesses in permanent markets within the old iron hall. Open Mon-Sat 9am-5pm but Saturday is the busiest and best time to go.
