Talk:List of leaders of SFR Yugoslavia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
According to the article on Tito, he was President through 1980. Which article is correct? --Delirium 23:08, Oct 25, 2003 (UTC)
- Those are the premiers, not the presidents. --Wik 23:17, Oct 25, 2003 (UTC)
This is a page created by User:Igor in an effort to support his other semi-delusional propagandist writings about how the evil Yugoslav leadership, which was controlled by some sort of Tito's Croatian camarilla, was guilty for whatever happened in Yugoslavia. Or whatever his agenda contained at the time. This needs to be integrated into a complete page on Communist Party of Yugoslavia together with context (which would include other statistics and illuminate that this standalone list is nonsense). --Joy [shallot] 10:35, 11 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- The situation has since improved greatly, with the creation of a whole new page about the party and the addition of more data here. It should be pretty obvious now that the system was rather balanced, or at least they tried for it to be. --Joy [shallot] 00:42, 12 Dec 2004 (UTC)
[edit] May-June 1991: Who and Why?
The page has a vacant listing in the Presidents section for 15 May to 30 June 1991. Does anyone know: A) why the Presidency was vacant during this period; and B) which nationality and republic was next in line after the Serbs? - Thanks, Hoshie 09:00, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
It was vacant because the Croat Stipe Mesic was next but the Serb block didn't want to vote for him. The President had to be elected by the Presidency - until that time it was a formality but in 1991 the President for the first time wasn't elected. Mesic was elected in June finally.
[edit] What is with the picture?
Where is there a radio stations banner in the picture box. I don't think that this is a picture of the leaders of Yugoslavia. This vandalism must be corrected immediately, unfortunantely, I do not know how to install or call back up a picture. Can someone please fix these and prevent this page from turning into a laughing stock. Thank youSAWGunner89 00:52, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
