[edit] Category
This list has no content, so I'm working on hitting the linked pages and putting them in Category:Hobbies or a sub-category. -- Netoholic 03:36, 6 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- I second that. Don't mean to rain on anyone's parade but this article really seems meaningless (and to be honest, that list of "internet-based hobbies" is a tad on the vanity side - when it includes Wikipedia, which I know is popular to some extent but is hardly a recognized internet-related pastime - and somewhat too jocose - "google whacking"). - This list represents a great deal of effort, but it really should have been developed as a category. Categories are the very best ways to make lists. I think this page ought to be deleted, but I hate to undo all this work before it can be re-organized into categories and sub-categories. i'll owrk on the sections that interest me, I hope others will do the same. -ErinHowarth 01:52, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
If Car Washing is a hobby, anyone is welcome to come over and work on mine Seaphoto 21:55, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with you Seaphoto and "hobbyists" carwarshers who to clean my car. Awesome! I'll even let you do it for free, oh yes I know why I am so nice. Caleb09 21:31, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
Maybe add this?
- no you may not

Can [shopping] be a hobby? Maybe there's some 'formal' way to say it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.86.138.29 (talk) 10:52, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Paintball
I put paintball in the Sports and Other Physical Activities section! Oh and Paintball IS a sport! Caleb09 21:30, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
Could i suggest that somebody goes through and where possible makes the links go to pages about the hobbies rather than the thing being collected.
[edit] Juggling/ wine tasting
I added "juggling" under "Performing Arts" but read on the Juggling page that it is also considered a sport. Should it be listed under the "Sports" section as well?
Also, I know wine tasting is a popular hobby, but I don't know if there is a better or more official title for that hobby and I wouldn't know what section to put it under.

[edit] Illegal activities
Noticed on my watchlist that someone had (rightfully in my opinion) removed dog fighting from the list of hobbies. This is illegal in the United States, and cruel to animals. Some people also actually fight roosters. I propose that illegal activities be excluded from this list. Userafw (talk) 15:09, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
I agree -- absolutely no illegal activities.Scwlong (talk) 01:44, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Elephant training
What about "elephant training"? I mean, yeah, it can be thought of as a hobby... Anyway, the relative page doesn't even exist. I vote for having that entry deleted (no offence to elephants intended!). Fakk (talk) 11:50, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
