[edit] Accuracy
it seems they are LOT AND LOTS AND LOTS of accuracy problems on here we should think about this as it seems some of the info is not true lets make it right pleaseVeggiegirl (talk) 16:00, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
The figures given for Keanu Reeves are somehow misleading since they apply to two movies (as opposed to the others figures given)...
[edit] false
can we had prove julia robert IS NOT THE HIGEST PAYED ACTRESS IN HOLLYWOOD reese withspoon is she gets 15-20 million a flim so she should be up top not julia. Julia Roberts get about 10-15 per film NOT 20 million she not up on top in the higest payed actress list Angelina Jolie, Cameron Dias, And reese are the top three NOT jULIA she was once but the moneys goes up she not the higest payed actress anymore SHE GETS 15 MILLION MOST TIMES NOT 20 MILLION WHERE IS THE PROVE PLEASE. IF SHE GETS THAT MUCH WHY IS REESE NAMED THE HIGEST PAYED ACTRESS AT THE MOMENT AND NOT HER SHE WOULD BE ON TOP OF THE LIST WOULDN'T SHE.Veggiegirl (talk) 15:56, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Women vs men
"umm what's with the major difference between Reeves and Roberts? If this list is right, which im sure it is, then I must assume that the industry is prejudist. 220.233.95.13 11:50, 20 June 2007 (UTC)"
It's not the industry's prejudice. The men are paid more because their films do better at the box office. That would be our fault. Also, Reeves' is for two films... which means that if they had flopped he would've only walked away with $15mil for each. There are only three actors who have been promised more than $25mil, and none more than $30mil. Roberts' $25mil is a commendable figure.
[edit] Averages
I'd like to see another article, or an addition to this one, that compares the average wages. Total income over films starred. It'd be interesting to see which actors drop off of this list because they're humble enough to work for less.

The idea would be problematic, because than you would need a system to distinguish between minor and starring roles. Who's going to make those decisions?

[edit] Problems
IMDb says Leonardo di Caprio got 2.5 million for Titanic, which would be more in line with his status at the time. However, I do have a vague memory of reading about a bonus, because of the success. However, as I recall, Kate Winslet received a similar bonus, which would make her the highest paid actress ever.
Also, the Keanu Reeves figures seem preposterous. IMDb (again) lists his salary for the last two Matrix movies at 15 million each + 15% of the gross. Since the second movie sucked and therefore dragged the third one down, the third one didn't make nearly as much money as the second one. Which means that Keanu couldn't have posssibly received 185 million for each. About 115 for the second and about 75 for the third. Nothing to sneer at in each case, but the number should definitely be split. After all, why would we count these two together when the three PotC-movies are separate.

[edit] What Year's Real Money?
It said it's adjusted for inflation, but according to what year's dollars?
March 2008
[edit] Accuracy?
Is the list really accurate? Place 11 says Witherspoon got 15 Million, but the movie itself has a budget of 15 Million (see Movie Page of Wiki) what seems more accurate given that Witherspoon only had a supporting role and this wasn't a big franchise movie.
Same argument for Kidman in Birth (Place 20). This is an independent movie with 20 Million budget, I therefore doubt the price tag.
There might be even more such cases.
[edit] Other Accuracy Problems
there are many accuracy issues,Adam Sandler for example...it says he received 25 million against the gross of 25%.so let me get an understanding of what "against" means.does "against" mean which ever figure turns out to be larger is what he makes, which means if the percentage is more then 25 million thats how much he makes or if the movie flops he makes 25 million minimum or is "against" simply another way of saying 25 million + 25% of gross?either way the total would come up to be waaaaay more then just "over 25 million".anger management is listed as grossing 195 million,25% of that is a 48 million.that would list Adam Sandler at 16th place, and if it was 25% of gross plus the 25 million up-front salary that would be around 73 million listing adam sandler at 9th place.
and also, jackie chan salary was 15 million + 15% gross for Rush Hour 3,that would total about 53 million listing him around 15th or 16th place. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Daverich313 (talk • contribs) 21:17, 14 April 2008 (UTC) Daverich313 (talk) 21:20, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
