I propose we split this list apart into separate lists by genre. Thoughts? There are already existing lists for several genres, like List of jazz guitarists. I think it would make it easier to control and manage the lists. --Aguerriero (talk) 21:00, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

I suggest that only notable guitarists with their own main articles be mentioned here. Shawnc 00:58, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

This list is plain wrong -- Lemon Jefferson died in 1929, so he's doing well to be post-1960s

I pasted some stuff in from the Flamenco guitar page. I don't know enough to know which links are spam and which aren't. Feel free to act appropriately.
