I believe this is referring to the fact that these are uses of the term lich within different fiction. there is a non-fictional definition of lich on the main page to do with lich gate etc. Drag-5 14:59, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

also, I should add.. if you did not put "fictional" this would mislead people into believing liches were a real phenomena. Drag-5 15:01, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Lich is originally just an archaic word for corpse. So a list of non-fictional liches would simply be a list of all dead people, which would not be very useful for an encyclopaedia. Shinobu (talk) 18:13, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
