My intent was to use the episodes as references, not the Wikipedia articles about those episodes as references. I linked to them because the articles existed so linking seemed relavent. If I used a book as a reference, and Wikipedia had an article about the book, I would link to the book as well, but that doesn't mean that the article about the book is being used as a refernece.
