Talk:List of fictional New Zealanders

This page seems like a decent idea, but the complete list will be incredibly long unless it is limited in some way. There is no real reason why Dr. Ropata should be on here but every other Shortland Street character shouldn't be - ditto virtually every major character from virtually every NZ novel, TV series, lots of the movies, etc.

I would suggest limiting it to NZ characters in non-NZ things - Madge Alsop, Mazer Rackham and so forth. The list would be a lot shorter and a lot more interesting, especially if longer descriptions are included. It would also avoid duplicating the fictional NZers category. --Helenalex (talk) 09:43, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
