[edit] High Commissions

I believe the following diplomatic missions are incorectly listed as Embassies instead of High Commisions. My understanding is that Commonwealth members have High Commisions not Embassies: Brunei, Cyprus, Fiji, Kenya, Malaysia, Mauritius, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Soloman Islands and Sri Lanka. I don't know if this should be added in Italics at the bottom, or at the least leave it on here, but in the fictional Star Trek future, circa 2150s the Vulcans have an Embassy in Canberra. (Mentioned in "Terra Prime" if needed). -AJHalliwell 7 July 2005 02:02 (UTC)

I think this page should be moved to diplomatic missions which encompasses the concept of High Commissions as well - any opinions?--A Y Arktos (Talk) 07:05, 5 November 2005 (UTC):

A further thought - I think there is also a potential article on diplomatic representation in Canberra - ie this article should not be merely a list but should be called Diplomatic missions in Canberra. It could then deal with the growth of diplomatic representation and link to Australian foreign relations. The article would incorporate the list.--A Y Arktos (Talk) 07:12, 5 November 2005 (UTC)
I wouldn't try to inlcude the list in an article. Lists seem to be progresivly more frowned apon in articles these days. It would greatly limit it's chances of ever getting to featured level. If "diplomatic missions" is a more correct tyerm then this should probably be moved. --Martyman-(talk) 07:14, 5 November 2005 (UTC)

It would be great to have articles on some of these. Australia seems to be lagging behind the rest of the Anglosphere with Category:Embassies in Washington, Category:Embassies and High Commissions in Ottawa, and Category:Embassies and high commissions in London all having a number of entries - SimonP 19:21, 9 November 2005 (UTC)

Well here's the US one, thats a start --Astrokey44 04:36, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
