Talk:List of craters on the Moon, A-B
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I started adding the date range of the eponymous individual's life spans. This was done due to some ambiguities encountered after following the name link. The range helps pin down which of the individuals listed is correct. It would be preferable, though, if the link pointed to the correct person's page, but they have an unfortunate habit of being moved around. So if you encouter such a move caused by dmg, please change the link on this page to point to the new page. Thank you. — RJH 20:14, 17 Apr 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Béla
For the origin of the Béla name ("Slavic female name") see [1]. That website is the official source for nomenclature not just for the Moon, but for all named features on all solar system bodies (planets, satellites, and even a few asteroids). Note, to find it in alphabetical order you have to look for "B|%la" which comes after Byrgius (that's their way of encoding accents). From what I understand, "Bela" might be a Hungarian male name as in "Bela Lugosi", but Hungarian is not a Slavic language. -- Curps 16:33, 5 October 2005 (UTC)
