I started this article because searching for those ingredients is still difficult. Search engines give the "chemical meaning" very easily, but information about purpose is scattered in many different sources. Wiki articles exist for some of those chemicals, but many compounds are just too unimportant to justify an article.
Everybody feel free to enter INCI names you come across, no matter if you can add something to the second or third column as well, somebody will be able.
I think an article about cosmetic chemistry (or something alike) should be created, to which those descriptions in the last column could be linked.
Information on all the different aspects of cosmetics in wiki are quite a mess, if you are interested in helping to improve this, you could have a look at the proposed cosmetics project --Sam195 18:40, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
