[edit] Sub-sections

Dont you think it would be helpful to characterize all these companies with repsect to the sectors they belong to? For e,g: Banks, Software Houses, etc. etc. Harrisbhatti

I have protected this article from editing due to Muhammadhani (talk · contribs) and 203.101.174.122 (talk · contribs) (most likely one person) making repeated edits adding "Limited" and "Company" onto the end of article links. I have made a number of attempts on their talk pages pointing out Wikipedia policy regarding this:

Wikipedia:Naming conventions#Companies
"Convention: The legal status of the company (Corp., plc or LLC), is not normally included, i.e. Microsoft or Wal-Mart. When disambiguation is needed, legal status, main company interest or "(company)" can be used to disambiguate: for example, Halifax (bank) or Converse (company). When the legal status is used, it is abbreviated in the article title. In the article itself, the title sentence of the article should include the abbreviated legal status. For example: Generic Corp. Ltd. is largest provider of widgets in the world."

I will unlock this article when I've got confirmation that Harrisbhatti understands this - please do not hessitate to contact me if you need any clarifiation. Thanks/wangi 20:18, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Sigh, no confirmation but I guess having this article locked for two days is enough... Unlocking. /wangi 17:36, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
