I love this list. Thanks. I refer to it a lot. This list is going to have be adjusted. Here's some thoughts.

Illinois Country should be used to define Upper Louisiana during the age of Louisiana (New France).

The French ceded the left (east) bank of the Mississippi in 1662 to the English while the right (west) bank went to Spain. I'm working on an article on Louisiana (New Spain) so the Spanish stuff would go there.

I'm not as familiar with how the British governed their side in Illinois. Americasroof 01:32, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
