Talk:List of characters in Daria

[edit] Tricia Gupty was present
In episode 406 (I Loathe a Parade) Tricia Gupty was with her parents when they and Tad were reunited. I don't recall if she had a spoken line or not; however, it is incorrect to say that she did not appear. - Necessary Truths, 27 Oct 2006
[edit] Barksdale merges
I really don't think that a few lines about characters that show up in <= 3 episodes really warrant their own articles. Propose Merge & Redirect. -- RevRagnarok Talk Contrib Reverts 10:38, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Guy Fawkes Day
I'm not sure, but didn't Guy Fawkes Day look like Sid Vicious, a punk icon and the "bassist" of the Sex Pistols..?
if yes, then this should be added
[edit] Proposed mergers
A number of mergers have been proposed, but, as far as I can see, nobody has offered their rationale for those mergers. I would be happy to discuss them if someone who is pro-merging wanted to present such a case here. I want to make two affirmative points while I'm here, however.. First, I think that each family member, Jane Lane, and Trent Lane, at the very least, should have independent articles. Second, if and when articles on minor characters are merged into this one, all of the content at the original articles should be preserved, at least at first. Then, at that point, we can whittle away the stuff that's superfluous. Croctotheface 09:00, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Format quirk
The Three Js are covered twice. I'm sure this is only a transient error, but I don't have time to fix it right now. If someone else spots it before I can get back, go ahead and fix it; I suggest that the lower version is more consistent with the article's overall format. Wyvern 19:58, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, I've fixed it. I think I've combined everything worthwhile from both entries and formatted everything usefully. The upper version was longer and more detailed, the lower in a better position; between the two, little more than cut and paste needed to be done. Comment and upgrade if you see anything to be done. [edit] Proposed revision
It seems to me that the Fashion Club should be listed under Lawndale High Students, rather than off by itself, probably as the very next subheading after General Populace (as they get more screen time than the football team). This would be an easy change to make, but since it would be a noticable revision of the page layout I'm going to bring up the idea here before doing it, so that other interested people can chime in on it.
Also, is there any reason we haven't put more of the notable characters in subheadings? You'd think Jane at least should appear on the contents list!
Give comments, please. Wyvern 10:09, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- I think both of your suggestions are fine. Go for it. Croctotheface 10:13, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Quinns guys.jpg
Image:Quinns guys.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
