Hi there, I see a 2002 company listed Tyco International, though I have been to company's quaters in Ireland in 2003 and they were right there. There is no sign of this company going bankrupt as there is a webpage and other operations made by it. Could someone investigate into the matter? Elthe 00:45, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Tyco is solvent. The company did not fail, but rather they were embroiled in a corporate scandal. Tyco is already listed in List of corporate scandals, so I'm removing them from this list.--10stone5 19:47, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

many of the ones on the list I wouldn't consider notable, we should have some kind of standard. Elie 23:05, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Where's Equity Funding Corp (1973)?

Equity Funding, which went bankrupt in 1973, set the gold standard for accounting fraud which would not be surpassed until Enron and the subsequent corporate scandals of this century.

Considering there is not yet a criteria, can these two companies be considered for the list considered it is unlikely that these two companies lost money when it became defunct, due to court case avoidance. Willirennen (talk) 18:08, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
