Talk:List of breakdance crews

[edit] Crew Links

Should links be removed from crews that lack Wikipedia pages? Several of the crew links go to completely unrelated topics, and that can be confusing for viewers. Geekrecon 19:16, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Your comment actually covers two separate issues, both of which I will address. First, any internal link that goes to an unrelated page should be removed immediately. At best, the link should be changed such that the name is followed by the disambiguator (crew); for example, "General Electric", which obviously points to the company, would be renamed "General Electric (crew)". However, the amount of redlinking in this article is ridiculous. Redlinks are only acceptable for notable/important and verifiable topics which will soon be created (please see WP:REDLINK), so I'm going to go as far to say that pretty much all of the current redlinks should be removed. --Sesameball 23:07, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Excessive Red-Linking

In the same vein as my response in the "Crew Links" section above, redlinks should NOT be added by users to every new crew update (the only exception is for crews with an existing Wikipedia page, or in accordance with WP:REDLINK guidelines). Keep in mind that few breakdance crews qualify as verifiably notable or important. (see Wikipedia:Verifiability, Wikipedia:Notability) --Sesameball 23:11, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Other important Breakdance Crews" section

Why is this here? This section isn't needed, and I'll remove it if no objection. Every crew can be categorized by region; if we need a multinational section (for, say, Spartanic Rockers) it can be added. --Sesameball 23:32, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
