Talk:List of boycotts
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
WTF is this about a Kellogg's boycott in connection with circumcision? No documentation. - User:KriZe
- In general this article is a shambles. I've removed most of the listings under "consumer boycotts", which may, as you indicate, even be libelous. -- Dystopos 20:27, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
- I’ve returned to the list those boycotts that are documented elsewhere on Wikipedia. It is not libel to describe or list the documented activities (such as boycotts) conducted by groups. Boycotts such as the Nestlé boycott are well documented and worthy of encyclopedic inclusion. I do agree that this list article needs a fair amount of work, but that’s not a reason to remove well–documented boycotts from this “list of boycotts.” —GrantNeufeld 07:29, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
- The documentation for the ones I removed was not apparent here. Thanks for your work to restore valid information. --Dystopos 15:04, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Birds Eye
Does anyone know anything about a boycott of Birdseye frozen foods in I think the 1970s or 1980s due to something like a support of whaling or seal clubbing? --Wrh1973 10:39, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Electronic Arts/EA
Here's something to research - a fan based boycott of EA http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=EA+boycott&btnG=Google+Search
EA did shutdown many studios like Bullfrog (Dungeon Keeper, Theme Hospital, Theme Park) and Westwood (Command and Conquer, Earth and Beyond) and caused much grief to the fans
This has recently (since 2005), even made to undermine Larry Probst ratings in Forbes, in which many earth and beyond players took part (like me and many friends): http://www.forbes.com/2004/01/13/cx_ceosoftware.html#lprobst
Probably there is a lot more info out there than i can provide, but there is a clear global-wide boycott on EA due to their policies and market strategies. —Preceding unsigned comment added by LPCA (talk • contribs) 06:30, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
