  • Ack. I'm not all that sure that this list belongs on Wikipedia. 'Hero' is an emotive term, making the list by nature PoV. --Darksun 20:35, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
  • okay i have changed "heroes" to "figures" as in famous figures. Thank you --Oromoforever 20:40, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
  • In that case, the scope of the list would seem too large. Is it going to be a list of every black person who has an article on Wikipedia? Is that nessecary? --Darksun 20:47, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
  • I see what you mean but this list has blacks that did things for the "first" time and black people who brought a major change in black history. Let me give you an example. Kwame Nhrumah was the man who started the African Union(AU). There has been many other chairmen of the AU but he began everything. Also you have MLK who changed the American society in so many ways. Then you have Joe Louis, who is a household name, an african american hero and one of boxing's greatest. Famous black people like these can not be replicated by other articles in wikipedia or outside of it. You can only start AU one time or have only one MLK.
