[edit] Article title
I suggest renaming this page to List of US-dollar billionaires. Comments? --Trainspotter 12:54, 27 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- No response to the above. I'll move it, assuming that if there were objections somebody would have spoken. --Trainspotter 14:04, 6 May 2004 (UTC)
I have moved this article to list of billionaires because the phrasing list of US-dollar billionaires is very awkward. It took me a couple of seconds to figure out what was meant by that; even list of billionaires (in US dollars) would be a clearer phrasing. Anyway, the article already makes it clear in the introductory sentence that the billionaires are billionaires in US dollars, so I think the simple title list of billionaires can stand. --Lowellian 22:52, May 15, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] "Billion" - clarify this word's meaning
How come this word has no ambiguity in its meaning even though billion does?? 66.245.1.229 20:20, 6 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- I think that billion is taken as 1,000,000,000 in this article. The numbers given are very confusing without this. Tim Ivorson 11:54, 7 Nov 2004 (UTC)
My main problem with this page is that it should be List of U.S. dollar billionaires. Billionaire certainly doesn't mean "has more than one billion US dollars" in my country, and I doubt it has that meaning in many others. Proteus (Talk) 12:53, 7 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- I'd tend to agree, unless we doubt the accuracy of the net worths given, in which case the list should be at Forbes 400. Tim Ivorson 14:41, 7 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- What are the alternate meanings of billion or billionaire? --Rj 17:22, Dec 18, 2004 (UTC)
- Right, sorry. But unless those articles exist, there is no need to change the name of this one as long as there is clarification in the article... unless it's changed to Forbes List... --Rj 00:41, Dec 20, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] "Billionaire" other similar articles
It seems to me that Billionaire should have a disambiuation page rather than a mere redirect to this page. Billionaires Inc. and Billionaires For Bush and the term "Billionaire" itself would seem to be as worthy of redirects as a list of Billionaires.
[edit] Helping to Complete the Article
I have created articles for two of the people on this list recently (George Argyros and Arnon Milchan) and see that there is much work needed to be done in helping to complete this article. I think this is a very important list considering the role of money in society and I am hoping some other users would want to get organized to complete the article.
I propose the work of creating articles for the remaining people on the list be divided among interested users ranging from 5-20 pending on how many users are interested. I doubt alone I will have the time or patience to complete each person promptly.
Anyone interested? Arminius 09:08, 19 Dec 2004 (UTC)

- the list is made in to a html table
Name | Country | Estimated value US$ | Estimated value in currency of country of origin |
- That for anyone listed that is not from the USA their estimated valus is shown in their native currency and in US$.

[edit] Confusion
I don't understand this page. Why are there TWO lists??
[edit] Outdated
This list bears no resemblance to the one currently on the Forbes website.
[edit] Second list
Under (Needs to be arranged according to new ranks for 2005), what is this list? Should it be merged with the first list and the numbering changed? --Fjmustak 22:53, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
- Agreed, since there has been no talk, discussion or explanation, I have removed this second list. If anyone knows the reason, explanation, etc for this second list, please revert and explain. Otherwise, it was simply confusing for everyone. Thanks. Tiggerjay (talk) 22:13, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
