[edit] trigonometry list
If you want to view trigonometry basic concepts, perhaps that could be linked from academic disciplines. I think the basic list should be combined with geometry topics. Please consult a mathematician. --gatoatigrado 04:39, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
- I do not feel my expertise is enough to say so, but classes such as Linear Algebra show similarities between trigonometry concepts such as a perpendicular angle, and the extension to the more general concept orthogonality. A lot of links (deleted) are more than trigonometric concepts, such as Great-circle distance. Also, when excess links are removed, there are only 11 links. - Some mathemeticians consider trigonometry as a part of geometry, while others consider it a subject unto itself. And since there are school courses specifically named "trigonometry", that means there will be students looking for this subject who may not know to look under geometry. Therefore, trigonometry should have its own list. The tag has been displayed for a month, and this thread of discussion now lacks consensus. Therefore, I'm removing the merge tag (it merely clutters the page). The Transhumanist 11:53, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
