Talk:List of Welsh Christians

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The article John Thomas (preacher) is not on a single topic, but rather has two weakly related ones: a bio, and a list of other figures in a common category. The good news is that the division is reflected in crystal clear divisions between sections, and between edits where the material was added.

The edit that added the list would better have been, in light of the lack of connection developing between the list and the bio in the succeeding months, an edit starting a separate article, Welsh Christian figures.

If i understand the new selective undeletion tool, i should be able to create that situation by means of a deletion, a partial undeletion, a rename, and another undeletion. And the attribution will remain with the original contributor.

What on earth is the rationale for this page? Where do you begin - and end - with a "List of Welsh Christians"?! How about including every single Welsh saint (many hundreds there), priests and ministers, preachers, and just plain run-of-the-mill Welsh Christians? What is the criteria for inclusion on this list? Most Welsh people in history were at least nominally Christian: this list could run to many thousands. This page is pointless - and I say that as someone who welcomes articles on Wales. It needs either renaming, redirecting, or deleting. Enaidmawr (talk) 22:58, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
