This is pretty much a split from the List of University of Notre Dame alumni article as it gets too long when all of these are added into it. A paragraph on that list and a link here was left there (it was cleaned up as well). I followed the Featured Lists List of Georgia Institute of Technology alumni and List of Georgia Institute of Technology athletes examples. Since over 400 people have gone on to play professional football this is obviously incomplete so hopefully it can be expanded. Anyone that meets wikipedia's inclusion criteria should be on here, so anyone that played professionally in any sport should be listed, even if they don't have an article yet. [edit] Picture

I believe because of guidelines that only free pictures can go on lists, but the football section is in desperate need of more pictures. Also, if anyone has a quality picture of the wall in LaFortune with all the athletes pictures on it to go on the top or can think of another good free picture to use that would be great.
