[edit] List of University of Florida people

I change the name of the title from List of University of Florida alumni to List of University of Florida people. RS2007 14:47, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

    [edit] Semi-Protected

WOverstreet (talk contribs count logs page moves block log email) doesn't seem to get the message. I have therefore semi-protected the article to deter his army of short term socks. Spartaz Humbug! 23:05, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

    [edit] Deleting People

I understand the tenacity for deletion some people exhibit, but just as when adding items, when deleting items one must be careful to do research. It would better serve those who believe a person or company is not notable to recommend the articles in question for deletion. So long as a person or company is notable enough for Wikipedia, they are notable enough for this list. As far as 'fake people', I would recommend doing some research before deciding a name is too funny to be real. Mr. Zaglul [1] and Mr. Semmoto [2] [3] truly appreciate it. [edit] Athletic Directors & Coaches

    • If you add to the list, make sure they actually attended classes or graduated from the University of Florida. Just because they were employed by UF doesn't make them an alumni.

    [edit] State-level congresspeople?

I see the section for US Senators and US Representatives, but what about at the state level, for example, Bill Sublette? Btyner (talk) 01:50, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

    [edit] Already addressed

If you notice the State Senators have been added. Problem with adding the Florida House Members is that UF has had over 120 alumni who have served in the Legislature, so the list would be disgustingly long. I tell you what though: I will create a whole seperate page for UF Politicians in a couple weeks. (talk) 02:22, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
