Talk:List of United States Army MOS
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
- 21H has not been terminated, although a whole lot of MOS mergers, creations and terminations are scheduled for 1, October 2008. Dirteater13 16:55, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
- Unsure about 21H and 21Q. It may have been terminated or transferred to another branch. Jigen III
- Okay, now why is it that 92A is both a Quartermaster Officer and Automated Logistical Specialist? Jigen III 03:14, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Notes
- 38A Civil Affairs Specialist is now designated 38B. Same job, new designation. Probably to avoid confusion with officers who tend to be "alphas".
- Band shares CMF with Adjutant General.
- 60, 61, 62 allocated to Medical Corps; 63 Dental Corps; 64 Veterinary Corps; 65 Medical Specialist Corps; 66 Nurse Corps; 67 Medical Service Corps; 68 enlisted from all 6 Corps.
- Odd how CMF 44 has finance and machinists. I've verified, it's correct. Maybe they didn't know where to put it, or maybe it will be redesignated later on.
- MOS's in CMF 44 (excluding 44C), 45, 52, and 62 (enlisted) are categorized under CMF 63 (enlisted) on several army.mil pages. They may change them to 63.
- Possible consolidations (proposals by USAES): 21T/21S, 21U/21L, and 21E/21J.
- Soon to be deleted: 25D/25Y in Oct'07, 42L in '07
- Soon to be added: 89A (Ammunition Stock Control and Accounting Specialist), 35W (EW/SIGINT Recruit)
- CMFs 33, 96, 97, 98, and MOS 09L will be consolidated into CMF 35 to be consistant with WO and officer MOS's.
- Already deleted: 21F (soldiers transferred to 21J), 94V (duties transferred to 94Z)
- most or all of CMF 94 is part of the Ordnance Corps. At the very least 94K, 94Y, and 94T are. 17:44, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] MOS
HOW DO I GO ABOUT CHANGING MY MOS FROM MP TO HEALTH..MY SGT SAYS NO AS MP IS A NEEDED MOS AND I CAN NOT CHANGE. I WOULD STAY IN IF I COULD CHANGE.
Why don't you like being a Military Policemen? Don't like Iraq? Being an MP is great, my favorite time is during a Law & Order deployment when I'm working Patrol. Driving the Police car is great, traffic stops, and responding to calls for service is a fun job. I don't see how cops get cynical.LtColonelBlack 17:25, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] What about basic trainees?
MOS 09B: Basic Trainee is missing. I suggest listing it under branch immaterial enlisted, along with Sgt. Maj. Or perhaps it would be better to list all 09 series trainees together, officers, warrants, and enlisted? 24.119.154.119 12:29, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Missing MOS
The 71 series is missing under AMEDD - MSC. Where would USAMRICD be without their 71B's???? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.2.175.46 (talk) 19:04, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] IP edits with no summaries
It seems that this page is edited by a lot of non-registered users who don't leave edit summaries or any sort of reference, but merely change the page ([1] most recent example]. This is a hard thing to research; I can't just pop onto the web and verify things. Any opinions out there? I'm going to rollback this latest one, citing no verification, but it would be nice to get some feedback. Maybe a semi-page protect? Tanthalas39 (talk) 14:57, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] The intel branch section has some strange claims
The claims for the existence of MOS 35Q and 35V seem dubious. I don't see either of those at here. Also, they are done restructuring so I'm going to delete that notice. If anyone has any reliable sources for these MOS designations, feel free to show me them.--Goon Noot (talk) 13:54, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
