It expected this explanation. But have a look at Template:UEFA Intertoto Cup Seasons. The competition is the same. Similar to the old European Cup and the new UEFA Champions League. Maybe a separate list would be a compromise. -Lemmy- (talk) 15:26, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

The template is incorrect. The competition was not sanctioned by UEFA until 1995. An analogy is the Fairs Cup which was not sanctioned by UEFA until 1972. That's why the list of UEFA Cup winning managers starts in 1972. Likewise here. I'm happy to modify the template to be just Intertoto Cup pre 1995 if that solves the problem.
