All of the episodes of this series fail the notability guidelines for television episodes. The way for these articles to be improved is through the inclusion of real-world information from reliable sources to assert notability. That is unlikely to happen, and these only have certain bad aspects (though all may not apply) like containing overly long or one sentence plot summaries, trivia, and quotes. Per that, they need to be a small part of this list.

If there are no objections, these will be redirected soon. Otherwise, discussion will take place here. Please remember that this is not a vote. If you like the information, that's fine and dandy, but your opinion doesn't really count towards anything. The only opinions that do count are ones that that lean towards the inclusion of real world information. TTN 23:38, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

Objection - many of the episodes DO contain production information and connections to "real world" material when appropriate. Also the episode pages contain expanded plot details, while the summary list contains very little information and no "spoilers" or other notable information. The Shield is a well-written series praised by critics and has won several awards. I believe that gives it notability. Indeed, it is more consistent throughout the series than the Sopranos, which became watered down over the final 2 or 3 seasons and yet it contains separate entries for each and every episode.--MistaTee 02:16, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

They are not sourced, they are trivial at best, and most seem to be original thoughts based on what most people would think as obvious. The list entries can always be improved as time goes on. The fact that the show is notable is irrelevant. Notability is not passed down to lower topics in most cases. Eventually, the Sopranos's episodes will be redirected as well if they cannot assert notability. TTN 02:35, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

At least some of the summaries on this page matches copy on the back of DVDs of The Shield word-for-word. What assurance do we have that the content on this page is GFDL-compatible? Honestshrubber (talk) 06:36, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
