[edit] Episode articles

I've noticed some errors with many of these articles.

  • Episode titles are "in quotation marks"
  • series titles are italicised: The Golden Girls
  • There should be no 'quotes' sections.
  • Ideally, there should not be a trivia section. The Simpsons has some pretty good articles: have a look at "Cape Feare" or "Things Aren't Simple Anymore" for an idea of what episode articles should look like.
  • Each article should have at least one external link. I've seen a couple of episodes on this list with a link: good.
  • Try to combine two-part stories, e.g. The Last One (Friends episode), is the articles are going to be short. There's no point in having two short articles when one will suffice.

[edit] Episode descriptions

I've added (some) descriptions of episodes, and also adjusted the table layout slightly for a better appearance. To contribute missing descriptions, just look for and replace <!-- Insert short episode description here --> (entire string from < to >).  SEO75 [talk] 09:52, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Finale

This episode's summary was WAY TOO LONG. It was more than a brief synopsis, so I changed it.-DANO- (talk) 03:08, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] episode descriptions are wrong

some of these episode descriptions are wrong. Please just watch the DVD's.

In Sophia's Wedding Part I, Sophia and Max do get married and Quentin Tarantino is in the final scene of the episode, at the couples wedding as an Elvis impersonator. This does not occur in Part II. At the start of Part II, the couple is already married, and return from their honeymoon to move in with the Girls.

Also, Richard Mulligan appears from Empty Nest at the end of Yokel Hero, as he brings the girls their mail as they have been away in St. Olaf. Not in the Sophia' s wedding episode.

My references are the Buena Vista released DVDs. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.141.2.113 (talk) 03:58, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

You're right, thank you. I recently added this info, and somehow must have got the three eps wrong by one.  SEO75 [talk] 04:20, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Please note that in episode 92, Dorothy and Sophia only talk about going to the Florida Keys. They actually go to Disney World. Micah1814 (talk) 04:22, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

I looked over the episode descriptions and have a couple of suggestions that I will leave to the author(s) whether to incorporate. I noticed a number of descriptions which were not exactly as I would summarize, but one in particular. In episode 123, Blanche only imagines herself as the inspiration for her sister's novel. If this were a TV listing which was meant to keep us in suspense, that would be fine, but I am viewing these as factual (within the context of the episodes) plot summaries.

Also, Lucas Hollingsworth is listed as a recurring character. I don't think appearing in a two-part episode at the end of the series qualifies him as a recurring character. Miles should definitely be listed in his place.

Finally, it is obviously a judgment call over whether to include notable cameos and guest stars, but if Mario Lopez and Alice Ghostley made it into the list, I think there are a number of others who need to be considered. Here are some guest stars that maybe should be noted, with episode numbers listed in front:

23 Polly Holiday
27 Burt Reynolds (maybe redundant since he is listed in the plot summary, same with Bob Hope)
37 & 44 Nancy Walker
51 Rita Moreno
59 Mclean Stevenson
82 Nicholas Cage was another one of the Elvis impersonators
130 Don Ameche
132 Martin Mull
133 Ruby Dee
137 Sonny Bono and Lyle Wagoner (sp?)
138 Cesar Romero (sp?)
168 Ken Berry
171 Alex Trebek
108 Harold Gould as Miles; I think it is noteworthy that this is the episode where Miles is introduced

Thank you, Micah. Please feel free to incorporate these suggestions into the article. --Nricardo (talk) 11:08, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
