It also needs splitting up into familes and the birds categorised along the lines of the List of Oaklahoma Birds model. Nick mallory 04:57, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

I just created a new template, {{Bird list header}}, to help these lists out, and this may be a good place to try it out. I'll start adding it. -- Basar (talk · contribs) 05:35, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Nice. Y'all are doing a good job. (I feel a bit like Col. Potter here.) Realkyhick 05:48, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Well, I just found a fatal flaw in the template. If you click the edit button of the section header, it doesn't work. I'll have to reformulate the template a bit. -- Basar (talk · contribs) 05:59, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Well, I mended the issue by deciding to eliminate the section header edit button. The alternative was to manually include section headers above the template in each bird list. I feel this is the right decision because it is not that big of a deal to edit the whole page instead of a section. These are low edit articles anyway. -- Basar (talk · contribs) 06:24, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
