[edit] Creation of article
I just created this article, merging together the information currently at Rochelle, Rochelle, Prognosis Negative, Sack Lunch, and Chunnel (as well as adding a bit on CheckMate, which was not yet mentioned).
I was actually in the process of {{prod}}ing Sack Lunch when I realized that these might all do well together on a centralized page. On their own, only a few of them stand a chance for resisting an AfD (look at the last version of Sack Lunch -- definitely not notable). I think together like this, they stand the best chance for survival, and that it also makes it easier for readers to understand that Seinfeld used fictitious films like this as a running gag. - I think you've done a great job with this article (along with everyone who contributed previously). It's remarkable how many movies the Seinfeld writers made up over the years. There obviously isn't much that we can say about some of them, but you've included everything that's available. --Moltartwo 02:52, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Additions
I added two movies: Prancer, one of the movies whose posters are visible when Jerry and George are waiting in line for Prognosis Negative, and Cold Fusion, which Jerry plans to see with Kramer in The Bizarro Jerry. Moltartwo 20:36, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Corrections
Moltartwo, Prancer was a real film (see here [1]). So was The First Power (see here[2]). These movies were in wide release when The Dog was aired. Considering how they are not really fictional films within the realm of Seinfeld, I've removed them from the article. 128.255.195.241 05:00, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
- Haha, good point. I had assumed Prancer was fake. Thanks for the correction. Moltartwo 04:52, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Breakfast at Tiffany's
This should be mentioned, as it was an entire half-storyline for George in one episode. Also, a possible mention of Patton Oswalt as the video clerk, as I believe it was his first lines in television. Socby19 22:40, 2 July 2007 (UTC)Socby19
I can't imagine why a real movie should be mentioned in an article about fictional films in Seinfeld, and the information about Oswalt would be more appropriate at the article about him.138.163.0.42 21:33, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
